Sam Loveday - Bio

I’m Sam Loveday, a fundraising specialist who’s devoted her working life to supporting third-sector organisations.

From the unique position of having worked both with voluntary sector charities, and commercial organisations, I’ve taken on everything from major capital appeals to the knotty issues of protecting revenue income during high profile campaigns, developing new fundraising departments, handling high profile events and the quirks that go with them, along with creating high performing teams to deliver your ambitious income targets.

Working alongside boards and trustees as a director, with key responsibilities of funding organisational strategy, I have been accountable for developing products, delivering impact, risk management and financing. Having worked with and in agencies, I’m also knowledgeable about compliance and regulation, helping policy-makers design, shape decisions and write guidelines.

I’ve loved working for large and progressive organisations with the budget to think outside the box, and as a recent industry practitioner, now offer my insight and support as a freelance consultant - on your side, but not on your payroll. I help my clients understand their donors, and make sustainable and successful fundraising plans that raise more money, more often.

Across the span of my career, I’ve worked with Save the Children, Cancer Research UK, Mind, Oxfam, Marie Curie, Macmillan, the British Heart Foundation and more, from the UK top 20 charities to family owned trusts and organisations.

After two decades in the industry, I’m a skilled speaker, trainer, and motivator, and still intensely curious and passionate about the behaviour that drives your donors, and how we can help your organisation achieve the rapid growth it deserves to transform lives.
